Ticket Pricing
We use a tiered solidarity pricing model to make the conference accessible to a diverse community of practitioners, researchers, and activists:
380 CHF Supporter Ticket
For those with access to institutional funding or reimbursement. Choosing this tier helps subsidize reduced tickets and supports the conference as a whole.
180 CHF Regular Ticket
This tier reflects the actual cost of participation and helps us cover essential expenses.
50 CHF Reduced Ticket
For students, activists, and others with limited financial means. We warmly invite you to choose this option if it enables you to attend.
All tickets include daily lunch, refreshments, and the Friday evening dinner.
We invite you to select the price tier that best matches your financial situation and institutional support. By contributing what you can, you help make this a more inclusive and welcoming event for everyone.
Conference Stipends
In collaboration with the Watson Foundation’s Design Leadership Initiative, we are pleased to announce a limited number of scholarships to support equitable participation at the Social Design Network Conference 2025.
The aim of the scholarship programme is to broaden the range of perspectives represented at the event by facilitating the participation of researchers who may otherwise face barriers to attendance. Through this initiative, we seek to foster inclusive dialogue, strengthen the exchange of knowledge, and contribute to the development of an international community engaged in social design research and practice.
Who can apply:
- Academics and PhD students, MA students who applied with their abstracts to the conference.
- Individuals whose work aligns closely with the conference themes.
- Applicants without access to institutional travel or participation support and those traveling from distant locations are especially encouraged.
Selection will be based on:
- Relevance of the applicant’s field of expertise to the conference themes.
- A short motivation statement (maximum 1000 characters).
- Diversity and inclusion considerations (such as region, institutional background, and personal trajectory).
Priority will be given to those without institutional funding and those traveling from greater distances to Luzern.
Scholarship Tiers:
As we aim to support as many scholars and activists as possible with limited funds, we kindly ask applicants to indicate which of the following expenses they would like the stipend to cover:
- Full Funding: Pass to attend SDN Conference, lodging for three nights (18 September - 21 September), and roundtrip travel costs to Lucerne
- Partial Funding: Pass to attend SDN Conference and roundtrip travel costs to Lucerne
- Conference Pass: Pass to attend SDN Conference
Expectations for scholarship recipients:
- Full participation in the conference from start to finish.
- Active engagement with other participants.
- Taking part in sharing their work during the event.
- Attend Scholarship events with other recipients
How to apply:
If you would like to apply, please fill out this form by June 1st, 2025.
