The first day of the conference is an Activation Day filled with workshops, where, together will local NGOs, we will aim at finding practical solutions to a number of topics.

Workshop with Levegő Munkacsoport (Clean Air Working Group)

How might we increase youth engagement towards cleaner air in cities through social design methods?

The workshop focuses on the topic of urban youth engagement in climate equity. The case study and background presentation provided by Levegő Munkacsoport (Clean Air Working Group) helps participants to identify stakeholders in the process on a local and more universal level, analyze the current process of engagement and find ways to open up new and more efficient ways of bringing youth into climate equity on an everyday level.

Workshop with Migration Aid

How might we rethink transition between educational settings for relocating children? How might we streamline the educational path of migrant children in order to more safely transition towards formal education?

The workshop focuses on the topic of educational pathways of migrant children. The case study and background presentation provided by Migration Aid helps participants to identify stakeholders in the process on a local and more universal level, analyze the current situation of relocating children in a liminal educational setting and possible pathways towards formal school education, seeking ways to help families make informed decisions.

Workshop with Menhely Alapítvány (Shelter Foundation)

How might we activate youth in order to better engage them in long-term, specialised volunteering? How can we reach more HEI students to volunteer at Menhely Foundation during their professional training and how can the well-being of the actors grow together through their cooperation?

The workshop focuses on the topic of youth engagement in housing poverty and homeless care services. The case study and background presentation provided by Menhely Alapvítány (Shelter Foundation) helps participants to identify stakeholders in the process on a local and more universal level, analyze the current process of engagement and find ways to open up new and more efficient ways of bringing youth into housing-related volunteer work in a long-term and specialized way.
